The ‘Wolkenschieber Gala’ – a festive dinner for a good cause

On 14th November 2009, the ‘Wolkenschieber Gala’ took place for the second time at the Maritim Hotel & Conference Centre in Bremen. The funds of over € 140.000 that were raised are used to support charitable organizations in Bremen, including the Jona Child Hospice, EPSYMO, registered society, Schattenriss, registered society, ‘A Home for Children’ and the Centre for Grieving Children and Adolescents, registered society, as well as the Peter Maffay Foundation.

Initiated by the Bremen agency Joke Event in 2007, the Gala offers an excellent mixture of artistic performances and culinary delights in a five-course menu. The program is rounded off by the presence of numerous prominent personalities who ‘assist’ the chefs during the preparation of their dishes and ‘help’ to serve the meals. In 2009, the names joining in to support the good cause included Lea Finn, Tatjana Szewczenko, Dirk Böhling, Laith Al-Deen and Peter Maffay.

The ‘Wolkenschieber Gala’ is financed by donations. At 100%, all of the funds raised with the sales of the tickets go to charitable organizations. dentaltrade GmbH & Co. KG was one of the main sponsors of the charity event.
